This is the photo that started the whole street photo movement. Street photography always fascinated me. How such horrible photos are so famous and venerated.Blows my mind. Then after trying all the other kinds of photography that interested me, started poking around street photography and after a bunch of research of a bunch of blogs, started looking at those photos like abstract paintings. A Layer beyond the subject, The subject of the photo is the cherry on top, the meat is the contrast and composition between the shapes of the image. Squint to blur the vision, and without getting much detail of the photo you can tell if it works or not. If on top of that layer of composition you throw in a subject fantastic, if it tells a story you got a winner. (Again, that’s basically how I started to approach it). It spawn my photography out of control because I was able to shot whatever whenever anytime, no restrictions, instead of waiting for the golden hour and that, could just go outside and point the camera anywhere. Has its tricks and challenges that each photog will develop based on their style and comfort level, but that’s besides this. This photo particularly was the photo that proved i could do it. Its nothing special by any means, but the contrast areas pointing, shiluetes and all that kinda made sense to me. It was on a road trip, my wife had to travel to a near by city for work, since i work for myself we both drove and stayed there for the weekend. On one of the work days i went out for a walk with the camera, just hung around the hotel area for a couple hours and came up with a bunch of somewhat ok photos, wasn’t sure what i was looking. It was a summer day, super bright. The people in the photo were crossing the street just chatting. I noticed and took a few shots from the waist, without lifting my camera, this is the 3rd or 4th shot.
