Was the first trip we did with our daughter. Quick 2hr road trip to that cabin. which was a shitshow on its own but thas for later. Along the 2hr drive, we had to stop a couple of times some for adult peepee and some for baby puke cleaning. As expected the last 20% of the ride took 80% the time. Traffic gets a bit cray cray as you get closer to town. Its also worth mentioning, since this was the 1st trip with the baby we travelled with the whole circus, high chair, crib, all the devices we use at home to care for the baby we packed, a yoga ball too, it was pretty funny. One backpack for clothes and bout 3 or 5 cases and boxes with every single thing. I hated that so much. Im more of a ‘lets improvise kind of person’ but you do what you gotta do. We had to use the bellperson at the hotel and tip them cause a party of 3 with luggage like a family of 7.
When we arrivied in the cabin, she started exploring. The bedroom lights were off and curtains slightly open letting a sliver of light thru, looked awesome for a photo, so got the phone ready and started to reach to my backpack to get the big camera, but as i was reaching she walked in the room and ran to the window for a peak. Panicked, that was a perfect moment for a photo, scrambled to get the camera ready and ended up dropping it onto the bed , at that point the focus was to getting the photo with anything, I knew she wasn’t going to stay there for much longer so i snapped it with the phone then proceed to get the big camera ready, but by the time i was shooting she had open the curtains a lot more and was onto something else.
That weekend we explored the whole town, which is in the middle of the woods plagued with lakes, trails and all things nature. Got some very cool photos of nature, the family and my daughter having fun, but this photo stands out.
